K:MID proudly presents … an international award for Wilfried Swoboda

Mit großer Freude können wir berichten, dass unser Kollege Dr. Wilfried Swoboda, der seit September letzten Jahres an der PH Wien mitverwendet ist und u. a. das STEAM MAKER LAB betreut, einen renommierten internationalen Preis gewonnen hat, nämlich den InSEA Award for Excellence in Praxis in Education through Art!

Aus der Würdigung, für welche Leistungen dieser Award vergeben wird:

This award will be presented to an Art Educator or a Collaborative Group who:
1) demonstrates that their praxis is aligned with the mission of InSEA to entitle all learners (regardless of age, nationality, or background) to access visual art education that deeply connects them to their world and to their cultural history that inspires knowledge, appreciation, and creation of new horizons that develop new ways of seeing, thinking, doing, and being (see InSEA Manifesto, InSEA Website),
2) has demonstrated a commitment to multicultural and cross-cultural educational curricula in their schools and communities,
3) has demonstrated leadership,
4) implements pedagogical approaches that build respect for human dignity and diversity through art, and
5) fosters teamwork, collaboration, and communication among diverse constituencies in order to achieve greater understanding of the social and cultural aspects of art and visual culture in education.  

Die Preisverleihung wäre in China gewesen – ich denke, da ist die Hochschulleitung ob der eingesparten Reisekosten froh, dass der Termin nicht persönlich wahrgenommen wurde 😉
