Delegation der Provinz Jeollabuk-do (Südkorea) an der PH Wien
Im vergangenen Monat durfte die Pädagogische Hochschule Wien eine Delegation des Bildungsamtes der Provinz Jeollabuk-do, einer Region im Südwesten Koreas begrüßen. Mit rund 1,8 Millionen Einwohner:innen in 14 Städten betreut die Behörde über 1.100 Schulen und etwa 150.000 Schüler:innen. 25 Vertreter:innen aus Bildungsverwaltung, Schulleitung, Schulaufsicht und auch Lehrpersonen waren zu Gast. Ziel des Besuchs war es, Einblicke zu gewinnen, wie moderne Technologien die Zukunft von Bildung und Gesellschaft prägen werden.
Final Meeting of TAP-TS: Reflecting and Looking Ahead
After three years of collaboration, innovation, and dialogue, the Final Meeting of TAP-TS took place in Dresden from 3rd to 5th of June; and brought together TAP-TS partner institutions to reflect on the project journey for future sustainability of the key project outputs. Held in a spirit of reflection and forward-looking action, the meeting served as both a conclusion and a catalyst – celebrating achievements while exploring future directions for embedding sustainability deeply and meaningfully in Higher and School Education.
IMST-Tagung im September an der PH Wien
Die nächste IMST-Tagung findet vom 25. bis zum 26. September 2025 unter dem Motto „MINT(T-)RÄUME: divers und vielfältig“ an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Wien statt. Im Zentrum der Tagung steht die Frage „Wie können wir die MINT-Bildung so gestalten, dass sie alle Schüler:innen erreicht?“ Das K:MID der PH Wien freut sich, zusammen mit der Universität Klagenfurt, der PH Kärnten sowie der PH der Diözese Linz heuer diese Tagung auszurichten. MI(N)T allen Sinnen: Der eBazar 2025 begeistert mit Innovation und Vielfalt
Am 20. Mai 2025 wurde die Pädagogische Hochschule Wien erneut zum Treffpunkt für Lehrkräfte, Schüler:innen, Bildungsexpert:innen und Partnerorganisationen – der eBazar öffnete seine Türen für einen inspirierenden Nachmittag rund um digitale Bildung unter dem Motto „MI(N)T allen Sinnen“.
„Dia dhuit, Dublin…“ Austausch bei Erasmus+ TAP-TS (Teacher Academy Project – Teaching Sustainability) „Teacher Expert“ Workshop in Irland
Im Rahmen von TAP-TS „Teacher Expert“ Workshops im Februar 2025 in Irland, am University College Dublin, konnten Lehrkräfte aus neun europäischen Ländern Lernmaterialien zur Nachhaltigkeit kennenlernen, erproben und evaluieren.
An Enlightening Visit – Teacher Educators from Israel at PH Wien
On June 3rd, 2024 a group of 19 passionate educational experts and teacher educators from Israel visited the University College of Teacher Education Vienna. This study visit was organized in collaboration with the Prizma Initiative and the Ministry of Education, the MOFET Institute, Tel Aviv (the National Institute for Research and Development in Education), a national institute for research and development in education, and Methodica. The goal was to explore, exchange experiences and learn from the innovative educational practices and innovative learning spaces that the University College offers.

On May 15th and May 16th our dear guest from Florence, Elena Gabbi PhD from the University of Florence, visited our competence centre for STEM and digital literacy at the University College of Teacher Education to present her work within the framework of the EU Digital-Paideia Project.

Vor wenigen Tagen ist der Sammelband „Medien – Bildung – Nachhaltige Entwicklung. Inter- und transdisziplinäre Diskurse“ im Verlag „Beltz Juventa“ erschienen.
TAP TS-Projekt: Besuch aus Portugal
Im Rahmen einer Erasmus+ Staff Mobility besuchten im April 2024 zwei Lehrerausbilder*innen des Teacher Academy Project – Teaching Sustainability (TAP- TS Project) Partnerprogramms, Neusa Branco, PhD, und Bento Cavadas, PhD, vom Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, Portugal, die Pädagogische Hochschule Wien.
TAP-TS Spring School in Nicosia/Cyprus
The TAP-TS project is going full steam ahead again this spring: the Active Learning Event (ALE 3) in Dresden was barely over before the next big event awaited participants from all over Europe, namely a Spring School in Nicosia, Cyprus (April 2-6, 2024). The delegation from Vienna, led by Klaus Himpsl-Gutermann (Competence Center K:MID and TAP-TS team), consisted of seven people in total and covered different types of schools and subject combinations in order to provide good feedback from different perspectives on the newly developed learning materials under the heading „Exploring Methodologies on Teaching and Learning Sustainability“.
